Mission Statement

Refuge Temple Cathedral of His Glory Church of God in Christ was founded in 1995 in Detroit, Michigan by Administrative Assistant Waverly B. Bumbrey Sr., ThD with a burden to restore the family unit through proclaiming the Word of God. Today the church has close to 300 members throughout metro Detroit through 12 ministries. Our mission is to preach and teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ; while serving the community as a holistic ministry; touching mind, body, and spirit producing mature believers who are ROOTED in the word, RENEWED through worship, and REACHING into the World by yielding to God our time, talent, treasure and temple.
